Stamping Springs and Dies
Die springs are high-performance helical compression springs, specifically designed to develop huge forces in an extremely limited space. They are mainly used in the construction of dies, injection molds, industrial presses and heavy machinery, where components are subjected to severe working conditions, with constant shocks and millions of compression cycles.
Color Codes and Load Classes (According to ISO 10243):
🟢 Green (Light Duty): Intended for applications requiring moderate forces and a longer compression stroke.
🔵 Blue (Medium Duty): The most widely used standard assortment, offering an optimal balance between developed force and lifespan.
🔴 Red (Heavy Duty): Designed for heavy industrial molds, providing massive compression resistance over a controlled stroke.
🟡 Yellow (Extra Heavy Duty): Develops extreme forces in a very small space; used in high-tonnage stamping regimes.
Data required for bidding and design:
Dh (Housing Diameter / Outside): The outside diameter of the spring (the hole in the mold that the spring will enter).
Dd (Rod Diameter / Inside): The inside diameter of the spring (the guide shaft on which the spring will be mounted).
Lo (Free Length): The total length of the spring in the uncompressed state.
Requested color code: Green, Blue, Red or Yellow (correlated with the required force).
