Industrial Torsion Springs
Torsion springs are helical components designed to resist rotational forces or torques applied to their axis. When the arms of the spring are actuated angularly, the spring stores mechanical energy by compressing the coils, generating a restoring force (torque). They are essential in mechanisms that require pivoting, tilting, self-returning, or maintaining a fixed position.
Material:
EN 10270-1 (1.1200)
EN 10270-1 (1.1200-VZ)
EN 10270-3 (1.4310 / AISI 302)
Data required for bidding and design:
d – Wire diameter.
De - Outer diameter
Di – Inner diameter.
Lk – Length of the spring body (area of wound turns).
n – Number of active turns.
Initial arm length and angle (δ): Angular position of the arms in the free state (e.g. 90°, 180°, 270° or specific angles).
